This was an issue in at least one previous year's version of this model: I can't power on my Strix G16 2025 unless the AC adapter is connected and plugged in. After I do that, the battery meter reads "99% available...", so whatever else is going on, the battery appears to be holding a charge. Also, this morning I received and installed a BIOS update: it didn't fix this.
Is anyone else having this problem, and better still, is there a fix?

Mick

Hey, Mick. I also habe the same problem. Mine is G16 Strix 5080 2025. My laptop has no problem yesterday, it can turn on just fine without it needed to connect to AC, but today it just start to do this. Cannot even hard reset, you need to connect it to AC in order to turn it on, which is very weird. Hope someone will reply and can give some suggestion to solve this problem

Eric

I just want to update my situation. I managed to solve this problem for now
Go to device manager -> uninstall your battery from there
Then restart your device. After that unplug your AC, then turn off your laptop, then turn on again with it being connected to AC. See if it works for you, because it works for me
My problem now is when i unplug or plug my AC in when laptop is on, makes my screen flickering
