Hi guys,
I have just bought one of the latest ROG Strix 16 RTX5090 laptops but can't install anything on it. The original SSD with Windows works well but when I try to install linux on it the installer can't find any storage. The SMART test checks the SSD and passes it but it's like invisible for the installer. I have split the original SSD with Windows, did a EXT4 format on the new partition but the installer can't see that. When I put another SSD with an old linux system already formatted the installer can't see it as well. Every time it's only the USB drive live linux system that shows in GPARTED as the only storage. I'm desperate. Just did the cloud BIOS update and upgraded the BIOS but no change so far. There was a NVME option in the advanced UEFI settings at the first boot but it's not there anymore.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Sorted, had to disable WDM in the UEFI.
