I buy g16 2023 today.
If i want upgrade 4tb(not 2tb x 2) is possible?
Because the original spec is 512g. I want use 512g and 4tb together. But im not sure g16 it is support this or not😢?

This is a pity, it means that a brand new 512gb will become garbage.

If you're planning a 2×2 TB RAID, that's 512 GB in the drawer. I finished the 4800 MT/s RAM modules in my drawer.

Yes, I have also seen on Crucial that it is supported, but the performance on the official website is Up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD Storage, which bothers me a lot.

That's the specs they sell the laptops don't see nothing about it saying not to use a 4 TB drive.

I am agree with you.
I plan to buy sn850x 4tb, do you suggest changing the port with the original 512g? I'm not sure it would be better for temperature or not?

I used a Kingston KC3000 2TB drive in my G16, but without a heatsink, this drive can heat up to 80°C under stress. Unfortunately, the radiator can be a maximum of 1.5 mm high (!).

Is 80% still a reasonable range? I'm also thinking that in a laptop, temperature seems to be more important than speed. Any recommendations for low-temperature SSD?
