I buy g16 2023 today.
If i want upgrade 4tb(not 2tb x 2) is possible?
Because the original spec is 512g. I want use 512g and 4tb together. But im not sure g16 it is support this or not😢?

There is very little space for a drive heatsink in the G16 series, and 1.5mm heatsinks are hardly available (I imported mine from China).
If you're planning a RAID, it's better to use slower disks that don't heat up as much.

Did you use a very thin copper sheet? How many °C around the difference?I wonder if I must to add a piece of copper or not?

I used a typical heatsink with a very low profile, but a copper sheet is also a good idea because it can be mounted on two sides. My heatsink lowered the stress temperatures of the Kingston KC3000 drive by 21°C. Currently, its maximum temperature is 59°C.

Thank you for your opinion. It seems that adding a heatsink is necessary.

Hi man!
I have exactly the same laptop G1614JV, and I can let you know is perfectly possible to upgrade to this configuration
Actually, I upgraded from 512 GB to CT2000P5PSSD8 2000.3 GB main drive, and CT4000P3SSD8 4000.7 GB for the second drive, working perfectly fine.
