To cut to the chase, my RogStrix G15 Advantage G513QY laptop (SN beginning with N2) has been completely turning off randomly when I play games, not just high demand ones but any at all including ones like Roblox. This has happened once or twice every few months since i got the laptop, but in the last month it has been multiple times a week. The most consistent that I can cause this issue is by dying in Assassin's Creed Origins, it will shutdown on its own everytime without fail.
Relating to this issue I have seen really high CPU temps (90+C) recently as well as my CPU frequency remaining in the 4000MHZ even at idle. I have tried removing armory crate, doing driver reinstalls of the GPU, clean boots, and several benchmarks and system tests and nothing has come back with a positive issue. Even the events in the Event Viewer are spastic around these reboots and I cant narrow down any common events or event IDs.
I believe another side effect to this that is happening recently is it is making my screen stay black after I have closed the lid and reopened it right after, forcing me to hold down the power button until it turns off.
I dunno what else to do and cant afford to just throw money at a potentially hopeless cause. I have seen many many forums talking about this very issue but not a single guaranteed solution or explanation, and that is honestly unacceptable. If there is ANYTHING that can be done I would greatly appreciate it.
My specs:
US based; Purchased Dec of 2022; Windows 11 Version 23H2
Processor AMD Ryzen 9 5980HX with Radeon Graphics RX6800M 3.30 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
PS. Sticker/image on laptop itself says i have a R9-5900HX CPU but my settings claim the above, a 5980HX.
Edit 1: I forgot to mention that when I tried limiting my CPU power to 99% usage the computer would shut down just on Assassin's Creed Origins save startup without fail as well.

Hi Marburg_4
Try cleaning all the exhaust ports thoroughly and the heatsink exits, also try plugging it in to a monitor or TV to see if this does the same as when you just close the lid,
are the video card drivers from the asus website or ati radeon one?

I have this same set of problems as you, Marburg_4. Were you able to resolve it? Did anything change ?
