I opened up the laptop to apply PTM 7590 like I’ve done numerous times in the past with thermal paste. Took all precautions as usual.
this time the laptop will not power on! It sounds like a faint siren like noise when I try to boot it, to hear this noise you really need to put your ear down towards the CPU/GPU area.
I’ve disconnected the battery for a full 24hrs, tried to switch RAM sticks, removed one, removed the other, switched the SSD to the other slot, held the power button for 60sec, 90sec, a full 2 minutes…. Nothing will get this thing to boot.
any ideas? I posted it up for $100CAD but am willing to try one last Hail Mary to get this thing working again.
