Hello , as per my title, I have seen quite a number of similar posts to mine, that where closed; I could not read an actual solution to this issue so I am posting this in case anyone else is encountering this as of recently and would like to give my workaround a try.
So my laptop is an ROG Strix 17 G733QSA ; using Windows 11 Pro Build 23H2; I have fast boot mode disabled in bios and also the fast startup option disabled from Windows 11.
As of lately I have been noticing that when I turn on my laptop using the battery instead of the adaptor, upon loading windows the screen would go completely black and turn off after a while. The only way I could turn the laptop back on is if I switch on the adaptor for the laptop to start charging, it would then eventually turn on and start charging from 0%, I forgot to mention that I use the maximum lifespan mode, which charges the battery up till 60%.
After reading the following thread (https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/rog-strix-series/asus-rog-strix-scar-ii-gl504gm-battery-to-zero-0/td-p...) I could still not solve my issue.
After charging the laptop up till 60% I would shut the laptop down, wait a couple of hours, turn it back on and go into the bios which would show me 60% of charge in the battery; however upon loading Windows the battery would immediately fall back to 0%. I decided to repeat this and have a look at my event viewer and noticed the following errors every time Windows would start to load:
Which lead to me believe that something was happening to the Armoury service whenever Windows was about to start; So I decided to change the following services to manual and also disable them from starting:
I then charged my laptop up till 60% and shut it down, left a couple of hours pass and switched on the laptop using the battery, made sure that from the bios it was showing 60% and continued to boot into Windows; this time it did not fall to 0% and it did not turn off automatically but remained stable.
I repeated the same process twice and can confirm that the laptop now boots up from the battery without any issues.
I still need to turn on the Armoury crate services back on and see if the issue crops up again, which leads me to the next question if it is the armoury crate service what am I supposed to do? Is armoury crate needed in terms of gaming? Will games still switch to the Nvidia Graphics card automatically? or is it something only Armoury crate service does?
Thanks for any help and hope this post might help other ROG laptop users having similar issues to mine.

Hello,
Armoury crate is not needed for the laptop to run and GFX switching is done / managed by Windows.
Do you use Armoury crate for anything?

no not really except for setting up the lighting on the keyboard, GPU setup as optimized and cpu on performance, other than that I do not have any other settings. I believe after removing armoury crate, I will have to find and alternative for the above.
Thanks for your reply.
