ROG GL752VW Too Long BIOS Time

Hey Guys,
I got a ROG GL752VW purchased in August, I installed an Samsung EVO 850 m2 and I'm running Windows from it. On a fresh windows 10 install, my pc turns on in 25-30 seconds which I consider to be a lot. Am I the only one having this very slow boot time? It spends a lot of time in BIOS aprox 10 seconds... which it shouldn't.
Previously I had a HP 470 G1 with SSD and I had 10 seconds boot time.

Would appreciate feedback.

thanks

Hello razvanx77
Does it boot normally with the stock SSD and OS?
Thank you

Hey Bill
Thanks for answering.
When I purchased the laptop, it had no SSD installed, that's why I purchased the 850 EVO.
The thing is, BIOS is taking a long time in the boot process. If I look in task manager, Last BIOS time is 13 seconds which is waaay too much if you would ask me.

I have the latest BIOS version 214 from the Asus website.

Thanks

Hi guys,

I own 552VW with Samsung 850 EVO (SATA).
Restart takes about 5 sec.
Turns on in 30 sec (from shutdown).
Boots from hibernation in 30 sec.
It's so annoying I'm thinking of throwing it out of a window.

There is also an issue when going from S3 to S4. It just wakes up and drains the battery.

I also tested Intel 530 (or 520?) - same issue.

Best regards
MD

PS. Installation of Intel RST helped... for one day. 😞

hey, anyone else with the same problem?

"There is also an issue when going from S3 to S4."

I'm probably revealing my cluelessness here, but, what does this refer to?

S3 - Sleep
S4 - Hibernation

My laptop is set to go to sleep after 15 minutes, and hibernate after 30 (on battery).
It wakes up after 30 and stays on.

I guess it's the same cause (asus bios).

None of my other PCs has those problems. All of them wake up/boot in 5 secs
and sleep/hibernate correctly when idle.

Best regards

anyone has any answer for this? thanks

disabling fast startup helped a lot, but it's still slower than my 4005u laptop

the thing is it takes about 15 seconds to show the windows loading thing. it spends 15 SECONDS IN BOOT --- that's outrageous.
previously I had an hp 470 g1 with an ssd I was getting 11 seconds boot time.. this one has 30 seconds boot time.. that's very very bad
