Having a whale of a time with my G614JV laptop missing keystrokes since I purchased it and wondering if anyone else has bumped into the same issue with this model (and hopefully fixed it).
Specs are:
CPU: Intel 13450HX
RAM: 16GB DDR5 4800 (upgraded since to 32GB, but issue persists with either set of RAM)
GPU: RTX 4060
When I first purchased the laptop just before Christmas last year there was also an issue with the speakers, so the laptop was RMA'd and the speakers replaced. However the keyboard issue has remained. I have since sent back the laptop another two times, one for a keyboard/touchpad replacement (which did nothing) and most recently they seemingly replaced the entire motherboard and CPU (when I asked exactly what was replaced they didn't reply, but I got the gist from RMA receipts).
Unfortunately even with all these replacements the issue persists. I don't use my laptop for anything too heavy, usually just browsing the internet or playing a non-intensive game or two (one of my favourites from nearly two decades back). The laptop does not need to be under load for it to miss keystrokes and will happily miss them even on Notepad with nothing else running.
I've tried pretty much every fix I can find from updating BIOS/keyboard firmware, using Device Manager to prevent USB from sleeping, doing multiple complete Windows reinstalls, disabling or removing ASUS additional software, disabling Bluetooth/WiFi - basically everything I could find from internet searches and forum threads here on the ASUS forum and on Reddit. The issue even persists on Linux OS so I can't blame Windows.
The laptop this replaced (an old dual-core i5-4210U Acer bought on the lower-end in 2015) is still trucking on just fine with no hardware issues of any kind, it's just slow these days. I'm a bit bummed that it's more stable than this 2023 Intel 13th gen 10-core ROG machine.
Any advice gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

Not a perfect answer but have you tried plugging a usb keyboard, if you have the same problem its a hardware issue, if not id suggest the ribbon from keyboard to motherboard

Apologies for the late reply and thank you for the tip.
Unfortunately the USB keyboard works fine, so it has to be something within the laptop.
It feels like all I can do is keep sending it for RMA in the hope that they'll just get sick of it and replace the entire unit, which may be somewhat difficult! But if that's what it takes then so be it.
