Replacing a GL702VM keyboard

Swordsmage

So I recently spilled something on my keyboard, and after a dumb attempt to clean a sticky key (forgot it was plugged in), now a bunch of keys no longer work and it looks like I need to replace the darn keyboard. A bluetooth keyboard works just fine, and I tried downgrading to BIOS 300, but that didn't work. So basically what I'm asking is how do I replace the keyboard? I can't find a good guide online, nor can I find out if I can replace just it, or if I have to replace the entire palm rest. I tried opening the back, but it looked like I had to remove everything including the motherboard just to get to it. So if there's an easier way, I'd appreciate it to know. Thanks in advance.

From the looks of this purchaseable keyboardhttp://www.us-keyboard.com/laptop-us-keyboard-for-asus-rog-strix-gl702vm-p-7161.html

it seems you can replace just the keyboard

but you also seem to be correct that you will need to remove the motherboard and access the keyboard from the bottom.

Good Luck
