Ok, im fed up now.
Made this thread over a week ago
https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?82778-(GL552JX)-How-do-I-control-my-monitors-with-NVIDIA-i...

0 answers which I take it from the silence and reading up about the latest "invention" from asus called Optimus.

I read that this super genius thing only comes in when you don't need to use the Nvidia GPU, but that is a false statement.

Intel HD Graphics takes over your monitor, olders games like Diablo 2 gets controlled by this aswell and you CANNOT get it to be controlled by Nvidia graphics instead in the Nvidia control panel.

It keeps on using the Intel HD one instead.

I've had problems with monitor controlling softwares aswell.
This wouldn't be any problem if Intel HD graphics control panel was as good as Nvidia, but they are not.

If I wanna use my laptop while draining more power then let me do that? I payed for this and I choose what I wanna do with it.

So what are you gonna do?

Can you make a new BIOS version so I can disable Intel HD Graphics from controlling my softwares/games OR my laptop monitor or any other monitor for that matter?

You can atleast answer me.

Sorry your not getting any replies, its probably because no one else has this issue or has a solution. These forums are user to user, ranting about Asus won't help, there not looking. You might look in the G750 forum they had Optimus too. I remember many issues and there may be some work arounds over there to help you out?

Sorry to hear you are having issues but like Clint said, this is a user forum that is sponsored by ASUS. They have some ASUS employess that poke their heads in from time to time but its not ASUS support. If you cant find someone else having the same issues I would suggest contacting support of the games you are having issues with and ASUS support directly.

I'm really sorry then and I apologize, I thought this was the ASUS support by the company. I'll check out https://www.asus.com/us/support/ cause according to the other threads I've read is that everything has to go through the Integrated CPU, which means my computer is highjacked by it.

I'm just surprised there isnt more uproaring about this as it limits your control as a user to be able to choose the best possible graphics engine, and instead being forced to use something that doesn't work very well compared to Nvidia.

Thanks for the replies

Im think no one here has replied as no one else is having, has had or heard of anyone having had this issue. On the high end machines the Intel internal GPU is disabled and Optimus does not exist.

If you have optimus, high chance you are stuck with it. You see, the Intel chip controls the output buffer. The nVidia chip renders it's workload and feeds it to the Intel IGP which displays it on the screen. So, if you disable Optimus, you won't have a display.

hY.

I have same problem. g522

Intel graphic contro (output) graphic for second monitor. and probably evrything.

Graphic is second monitor is realy bad.

Wher is switch for change
from intel to geForce grafic control.

or to disable intel grafhic?
