Hi folks,
Looking to swap out my memory to 64GB, Asus sadly will not recommend anything. I have heard instances where 64gb kits do not run at the full 5600 mhz.
Has anyone upgraded the scar 18 -2024 to 64gb ( or higher) keeping the full speeds of 5600mhz.
Thanks in advance 🙂

Yes, absolutely. I just upgraded my 2024 ROG STRIX SCAR 18 to 96GB with a Crucial Kit and it runs at 5600! BOOYAH!

Hello, can you please share what's your bios version right now? Did you upgrade to v318 for 5600MHZ speed?

upgrading to 64GB can result in lower speeds due to motherboard or chipset limitations, especially if the memory kit isn’t perfectly compatible with the laptop.

14th gen Intel HX CPU supports 5600MHz for double rank RAM (meaning 32GB sticks, two of which make 64GB). This is stated clearly in the Intel spec sheet below.
Now if only Asus will let us adjust RAM timings in the BIOS, like MSI laptops can in their Advanced BIOS... Don't know why Asus like limiting their laptop users so much. It's not like RAM timings will brick your laptop, at most it just reverts to the default values if training doesn't work out.
