Good day,
First, to my system:
To my problem:
For months I have had problems with micro stutters, I have already tried everything possible:
Now after months I finally had the idea to deactivate HAGS (Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling) and I couldn't believe my eyes. Everything runs incredibly smooth and the micro stutters are gone.
The big problem now is that you have to have HAGS activated to activate Frame Generation... In some games, not even Dlss 2.0 works. Does anyone know the problem and could solve it? Games like Immortals of Avenuen are hardly playable without Dlss... Unfortunately, you also have to restart the PC when changing the HAGS setting, which would be extremely annoying... especially since more and more games with Dlss 3.0 are coming out.

No idea... I won't need a laptop anymore after my exam anyway..... Then I'll build a desktop gaming PC. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
I got the best results with the laptop when I disabled HAGS (which is said not to work well with Gsync). Disabling the Nvidia Sound Driver helped. Disabling Vt-d and intel Virtualisation in the bios helped. Capping FPS in the Nvidia driver and enabling Ultra latency mode + Vsync. Then disable Vsync in the game. Uninstalled Intel XTU driver! caused high latencies for me. Game Mode on. Xbox gamebar disabled. Delete Nvidia Experience. Dolby Atmos off. Occasionally clear Nvidia shader memory (helped with many games)

It seems we are in good company (not an ASUS only problem?):

Have HAGS and everything else enabled on my other GL703GS and works perfectly fine... sigh these 40x0 laptops seem to have too much problems, and not a single review ever investigated this stuttering issue with older games!

There is a critical BIOS update for your laptop. Have you tried it?
If it doesn't help, it may be worth trying these settings in NVIDIA Control Panel:
- NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Power management mode > Prefer maximum performance
- NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Low Latency Mode > Ultra

Also, have you tried turning G-SYNC off and testing?
The next question would be about Windows installation, have you installed a clean version of Windows? Is your Armoury Crate up to date? (also update components in Armoury Crate > Settings > Update Center)

We've tried everything already... only disabling HAGS has helped in many games. But older games all have micro stutters.

I found other confirms of what seems a widespread issue of 40x0 mobiles:
4080 mobile users. How's the micro stutter? : r/GamingLaptops (reddit.com)
ASUS can't do much, I'm afraid. NVidia fu*** us up this time. We'll have to live with stutters (with old games, new demanding games in general run fine from my brief experience) and hope they'll fix them through drivers in 1-2 years (ridiculous)? 🤦🏻 I bought this laptop 1 year after its debut and today I still face this disappointing problem (sigh and I love retro-gaming too...), shame on NVidia and also on YouTubers and other online reviews that didn't mention this huge issue in their "in-depth" reviews.

An interesting comment below:
This is more than likely a Windows issue. Even with the Brian Video an Intel Engineer went into the Comment and left a lengthy message about the subject saying they are aware of the issue and it is related to Windows OS. Not surprising. I honestly probably would switch to Linux if I would take the time to learn it. Windows is just of those necessary evils that come with PCs unfortunately.

Another idea is to disable this: Beheben Sie, dass dies auf dem PC für mich funktioniert hat, wenn Sie Mikrostottern haben. : r/Elden...
