Planetside 2 screen flashing during gameplay.

Hi guys

I have this problem since updating my 660m nvidia with the latest update.
During Planetside 2 gameplay my screen start flashing and then it freezes.

Anybody else here having the same or similar problems?

Hey andy.. This is quite strange issue you got here.. Does it flash white or black or what..?

Also was the game running fine before you installed the latest nvidia drivers ? And when you installed the latest drivers, did u do a clean install ??

One thing you could do is delete your useroptions.ini file and then start the game so a new one gets automatically created. Sometimes this bugs out with new client updates.

Also have you had a look at my PS2 optimization guide..? Check it out, specially the useroptions.ini file changes..

Hi mrwolf,

its more grey with white flashing and then the game freezes.
not a clue what it could be.
I updated the graphic card 2 weeks ago and hmm i think i had this issue once a few month ago.

do you have an idea what it might be?

is it happen when restore back original? are you install new driver from asus support site? whitch driver are you used?

I don't know if I have the same problem. But after playing around half hour PS2 the game started flashing bright when I moved around. When I did not move there was no flashing.
Then it freezed for ca. 30secs and so on. And the FPS went down.
It seemed to me that could be a heating problem.

Hmm, it does sound like a heating issues that is causing these anomalies/artifacts.. Do you guys keep an eye on the temperature in game..? It shouldnt be going over like 77max or 80MAXX.. Mine is usually around 75 fully overclocked..

Also does it occur in other games or just ps2 ??

It could also not be related to heat but instead be a in-game glitch.. Because even i have had some weird things happen to me once in a while in ps2, like all the buildings and stuff start dissapearing and flashing greyish and also i lose alot of fps.. But then i go into the warpgate and chill for a few mins n it goes away.. So if it is not a heat issue and there is no similar problems in other games, then there shouldnt be anything to worry about, just complain on the ps2 forums for the devs to fix it 😛 lol

How did u install ur driver? Did u used custom with the clean instalation checked? couse if not, and only updated, that may be the couse of ur problems. Try using driver sweeper (http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweeper.html) and remove all nvidia profile. then reinstall normaly.
