OK How In Gods Name Do I Access The Bios

Ok folks

I just got this machine. Its a G75VW with 8 gigs of RAM running WIn8. Thing runs like a ROCKET. I just need to check out how the BIOS is set up.

The thing is I can't find ANYTHING about how to acutally ACCESS the BIOS page.

Can somebody clue me in as to what key I need to push while this thing is booting up so I can access the BIOS

Thanks

Well, keep holding F2.
Ahh, how I miss the old days.

@Gunner, which bios version? normally we use F2 or ESC key.

edit: if the boot up time is too short, there is another 'alternative' by our fellow member here.

Tried F2 and the ESC key. No dice. Is this Win8 trying to keep me from doing something I need to do because it thinks I can't do it 😉

you have to unlock the bios from Windows 8

go on the start page

win + C to open the charm menu

setting

change pc setting at the bottom

go to general

advance start up

restart now

it will bring you to a menu and you gone have the EUFI menu.

hi, if your NB boot to fast, you also can press hold F2 than turn on the NB.

I'm now having the same problem. After installing Windows 8 on the secondary disk and setting it as the default boot disk (Win7 is still on disk0), I can't enter BIOS setting with F2, even if I keep it pressed down while I power on the machine. I always seem to end up in Win8 now.

BIOS version 221.
