new bios touchpad problem

bbilir

After the new BIOS update 330 for ROG Strix G614Ju, there are glitches for the touchpad (especially double finger swiping). I would like to report it to the authorities. I tried downgrading the touchpad driver and the problem persists.

My touchpad after the BIOS 330 update simply stopped working, in Device Management the HID I2C appears with an exclamation, I have already reinstalled, removed and added, reinstalled Win10 and the touchpad does not activate. Not even by pressing the FN+F10 button

Try this for me fix some of the problems when i tryed the newest bios

Reset the BIOS:

Plug your laptop into the charger.

Turn off the laptop.

When the laptop is off and connected to the charger, hold the power button for 1 minute.

Thanks for the tip. But I did this process and it didn't work. Is there any way to revert to version 228 that was previously and worked normally?

Check your model and download the bios

Upload it to usb drive and make the update from the bios i think there mist be shown how to do it afte you install the version that you wont you must disable auto bios update in windows

Go in device manager and disable all devices in firmware section

In C/Windows/firmware delete the folder inside

And that will stop automatic bios update

Hy. I tried all this steps... and nothing... I revert the BIOS to 229 and tried to reinstall the Device  HID I2C .

I think this is not the device i´m looking for. Is there any option on the BIOS UEFI that enables or disables the toudpad?

Edit: I found this driver at Intel PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_7A4C | Device Drivers I will try to install later.

Hy eXplode,

Here's an update on the case: I contacted Asus support and they informed me that they would only provide support if I had the OS that came from the factory, in this case KeepOS! I contacted the KeepSoftware team, got an ISO and installed it again. The folks at KeepSoftware tried to solve the touchpad problem without any success. I went back to Asus support with KeepOS already installed and to the surprise of ZERO people they asked me to take the notebook to an authorized one to check the problem since it is under warranty.

Bro need advice,i am at current bios v324 never updated bios, should i update bios or not ,As you faced issue after update bios that's why asking for advice ?

If everything is working normally, don't even think about doing this.

Another thing, if it is within the warranty, contact support and ask them to follow up with you to do this update.
