This happens with World of Warcraft and Everquest. I sent the laptop in and Asus replaced the motherboard. The laptop they returned to me with the new motherboard is doing the same thing. It's not a software issue or driver issue as the first laptop (before repair) had everything up-to-date. The "repaired" laptop is factory state, just how they sent it to me like fresh out of the box. I am starting to wonder if the 2024 Strix is just a defective product. I can't think of anything to do but try to return it now....anyone else have this issue with the same laptop?

I have the 2025 G835LX 18 and it is currently getting warranty work done for the 2nd time. The first time I was crashing on BF2042 and Dune Awakening, all with default game settings. Cranked everything down and still crashing. I would get critical errors (check your event viewer). My temps were also idling around 99-101 under very light gaming loads. The first time I sent it in they replaced the motherboard. This time it was crashing again but now it smelled really bad. High temps. I don't know yet what they are doing. The updates show it is "Being Repaired". I've had it for 4 months and it's been in my possession half that time.
My 2023 18 ran perfectly.
