I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out because I've been facing some overheating and performance issues with my ASUS ROG Strix G15, and I'm seeking advice from the community on potential solutions.
Issue Description: Even with the laptop set to balanced mode and fans running at 100%, I've managed to keep the temperatures around 89°C. However, despite the cooling efforts, the CPU frequency is only reaching 2.09GHz. This is causing noticeable performance drops during gaming, with frame rates dropping from 120fps to as low as 30fps.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- Updated all drivers, including graphics and chipset.
- Checked and adjusted power plan settings.
