Need Help! How or can I upgrade my Gtx 960m in my gl551jw-ds71 ROG laptop?

Hey Everyone,

So this is my first post and I hope this is in the right place but my issue is when I bought my ROG laptop( I'm kinda a computer
tech newb ) I didn't realize the graphics card it came with was the GeForce Gtx 960m, and not the Gtx 960. Which to my understanding
the 960 is much better than the 960m. Is there anyway I can put a new one in?

From what I understand, you can't upgrade. The chip is soldered on. It's not a pluggable card. Kinda sucks if you ask me.

No, Both the CPU and GPU are soldered in the MB.

The only upgradable parts on that notebook are DDR3L memory, Msata SSD, HDD and ODD.

And battery if you can find one bigger! 😉
