Hello guys. I just bought Asus Rog Strix G16 (2023) with rtx 4060, i7 13650hx, 16 gig ram.
It has wonderfull performance. Great improvement from gtx 1660ti laptop for me. Screen quality, game performance very good. BUT
While performance mode cpu mostly around 85 degrees. Especially in Cyperpunk 2077, I saw 95 degree for a second. But cyberpunk run hotter compare BF V. My GPU temps are good.
In silent mode its 75-77 degree in Cyberpunk 2077. Still good performance on silent mode around 90-100 fps and game running smooth also pc working so cool. But performance mode I reach 120+ fps.
So should I worried performance mode CPU temps? 😞

Does cpu average 85C. If thats the case i think it should be ok since it isnt constantly working on 95C. You could try undervolting. I have the same laptop undervolted. i just downloaded and tried cyberpunk today. In performance mode and default graphic + dlss auto, i get around 100-120 fps and 85C max. Btw what are your graphics settings.

What is your undervolt profile i even get less temperature whit same laptop most time i play around 70-75 degrees whit P CORE boost to 4.9ghz non stop +thermal pad
My undervolt settings are
cpu Core -170 mv
P Cache -130mv
E Cache- 150mv
All graphics undervolts available -30mv
TVB1 is set to 85 degrees
TVB2 is set to 90 degreese
And i get constant max P core and E core frequency
If you wont i can make you some test and show some results in gaming and cinebench R23
Also in cinebench i ger stabble 4.8ghz-4.9ghz frequency fo P cores and max E cores frequency for 30 minutes stability test
Also i use custom FAN profile in Armory Crate

I dont remember my undervolt settings. I did it using intel xtu but i dont think i undervolted my cpu as hard as you did. Did you use throttlestop, i might try your settings. Btw what does TVB1 and 2 stand for?

TVB is thermal security option for the cpu TVB1 is furst level if cpu go to temperature that is set you it drop the cpu frequency whit value at your chose if that dont help you can set TVB2 for second secure if the cpu go too hot and again you can chose what temperature to use for security and how much to lower the frequency at this secure point
i use intel xtu after i update all drivers whit Driver Booster 11 and newest bios update it work fine for me also i clock the cpu little bit ang get 99% constant clock whit very good temperature
also my GPU is undervolted and clocked little bit you can see everything from the screenshot

And also my turbo boost is on. Without turbo boost in cyberpunk temps get to 75C max.

I am playing with ultra rt (rt settings at medium) + dlss quality + fg: I got 85-110 fps with RT, 100-120 without RT. My temp generally around 85 but sometimes its running around 92-95.
I discovered this. When you lift the back of the laptop by 3-4 cm, the temperature drops to almost 10 degrees. For this reason, I am looking for something that will raise the silicone feet on the back. When I do it that way, the temperature hovers around 78-83 degrees. (Cyberpunk)

Hi guys, i just got my G16 and i would like to ask what do you use to undervolt, intel xtu or throttlestop? thanks in advance!

better use intel XTU also i recomend to update all your drivers i use a Driver Booster 11 for the update off all drivers
throttlestop dont work so good for me at biggest clock half of the P cores are maxed other half have whit 100mhz less clock

I had my Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 repasted 2 weeks ago and I got near 20C down right away.
I used MX4 and UPSIREN U6 PRO syringe version which I bough from Amazon Australia.
From CPU/GPU 86/95C I now have 68/74 at full load and from 72/74 on idle now it is 49/52!
As you can see thermal paste was very dry and thermal pads were in bad condition. I guess this explains the big improvement.
Your laptop is new so I can't sugest to do the same, but it is definitelly something that you should keep in mind for next year.
