My laptop is still getting less and less fps

I have been on this forum once to try fix my problems but my laptop is still having problems.

Asus Rog Strix g16 2024:

 Gpu: rtx4060 8gb vram

 CPU: I9 14900k

 RAM: 16gb

I was asking if anyone can help me have high fps like before, as when I first bought this laptop games would be reaching 500 fps and now when I go back to the same games they are reaching 60 or 30fps which was weird, I had to go on every video trying to find a solution and i had to check if it is a cpu problem or gpu or anything else. It has been a year since I have bought this laptop so I don’t know if it just has a bunch of dust but i have switched to optimized mode and ultimate and still nothing is working at all,

 I have done everything trying to fix this laptop, even using nvidia control panel multiple times, can anyone help me solve this?

I have also gotten a laptop cooler to see if it could help but nothing has worked, I once had to restart the entire laptop to see but it did nothing and call of duty or Fortnite or rainbow six seige before would get 300fps to 240fps and now from 15fps to 40fps

Hi..a couple of things come to mind..are you gaming on the intergrated vido card or the discrete video card ?

I’m not really sure which one? Can u tell me each solution for both of them and I’ll check to see which one is which?

It might be integrated graphics because I think it shares some memory and cpu usages but I’m not quite sure.

when gaming you need to be running on the 4060 ..the  intergrated graphics is for when browsing etc on battery.

I dont have armoury crate installed but the switch will be in there somewhere i would think ..it sounds like you have chosen to use only the intergrated graphics in the menu somewhere ,,normally the laptop will switch between the two depending on what you are doing:

Is there any other way to help my laptop? I have done that before honestly and my device is set on automatic select and it is still lagging.

So you have the GPU mode set to ultimate ?

Yes and I also have the Optimus set as automatic select so it can choose discrete and integrated. But nothing is working my games are still having low fps and it wasn’t like this before, I haven’t downloaded anything off the net I have only downloaded games on steam or epic games

And you have the cpu set to performance or turbo mode ?

When you are gaming are your fans spinning up ? are your temps ok ?
