Multiple problems.

First of all, I have a g75v. It's only about a week old. I can't get the webcam on this to open. I try opening the Asus virtual camera but I click it and nothing happens. How do I get this to work?

Secondly, is the built in microphone supposed to be bad? I get calls on skype and my friends can barely even hear me. It isn't just one person, it's everyone that calls. Is there anyway I can get them to hear me better without buying a headset.

Does the webcam work with Skype?

Have you tried configuring audio within Skype?

Does a Windows Sound Recorder recording play back with low volume?

Virtual Camera by itself doesn't operate the built-in camera. See if the camera works in LifeFrame. If it does, then it works fine and it's a settings issue in Skype.

Check the Microphone properties by right-clicking the speaker icon in the system tray, clicking Recording devices, selecting Microphone, and hitting the Properties button. On the levels tab you can adjust the sound and boost up so it picks up more.
