Hi there, So recently I blow up my Asus GL702VM motherboard while I was changing the battery thanks to that little metal clip which holds the battery plug. So I was wondering whether I can swap the gl702vm with gl702vsk motherboard(i7-7700hq,1070)? Because what I saw in pictures both motherboards are identical except for heat sinks. Which only covers the 2 extra black chips on gl702vsk while gl702vm has a small fan at that place which can easily fit over those 2 chips . Is there any other risk in that? Both motherboards pictures are below. https://ibb.co/F5ZcHY8 https://ibb.co/12tp7LB
hi Barefooted, your case is new . if you want to change motherboard you can go head , also change processor also that comes with new motherboard. also I ma doubt whether top cover is completely fit on laptop base cover or not.
