Max RAM on GL552VW-DH71?

Has this changed? Purchased mine back in February and could have sworn it was max 16GB, which the machine shipped with but now ASUS' website is showing max 32GB.

Am I going crazy or did it really change? If so, did the hardware change or simple BIOS update?

Yeah the site use to say or maybe still does say 16gb but its 32 for the GL552 and GL752. There weren't many if any ram that could support 32gb on just two dimms for laptops when these were released but now there are.

so its safe to say they had it at 16GB because of DIMM availability? Nothing physically changed with the laptop itself? not like its a big deal, 16GB is more than I'll need but just curious
