Ok, here's a few issues and small annoyances that need to be addressed and discussed by Asus
- GPU appears as ejectable USB pen drive (workaround install the touchpad driver), here's some threads about the gpu appearing as an ejectable USB pen drive
https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/rog-strix-series/help-strix-scar-18-ejectable-rtx-4090-gpu/td-p/939886

- Mandatory bios update through windows update needs to end
We have a thread discussion about a petition for asus to put bios updates in the optional driver section of windows update
https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/rog-strix-series/%EF%B8%8F-petition-to-end-mandatory-bios-update-with-...
- Theres no Color Profile standalone driver
Color profile is needed for Dolby Vision reproduction
The color profile driver is only installed with Armour Crate, there's no standalone driver for color profile
Theres only a driver for HDR certification
Workaround is to ask other users for the color profile files (ICC files) and manually copy them or backup the files
- Miniled HDR peak brightness values are wrong, if during a clean windows install or a big windows update install, ultimate mode is enabled, 622 nits will appear in the screen details
Workaround use hybrid mode during those 2 situations
The issue was supposedly reported to Microsoft and hopefully it will be addressed soon
- Touchpad and wifi doesn't work during a clean windows installation
This is something important, the need to install those drivers in order to finish the windows installation doesn't make sense, windows needs internet to finish windows installation
Why touchpad or wifi doesn't work during windows installation?
These are crucial things that should work during windows installation, without the need to install them manually, in order to finish the windows installation
Ofc, one workaround is to use a mouse, one problem is fixed, but there's no way to make the wifi work without a manual driver installation
In my Legion 7 laptop, everything works during windows installation
- Minor flickering with a browser on certain websites
It seems small ads being displayed causes the flickering
Turning off hardware acceleration on the browser could work, is not confirmed, but using the browser without hardware acceleration makes browser sluggish and not smooth, this issue should be fixed, the workaround is not a definitive or acceptable solution
- RAM XMP support, why there's no support for XMP yet ?
Kingston has some different modules with 6000MT/s or 6400MT/s modules which are programmed to use XMP with 1,35V at their expected speeds. These faster and newer modules doesn't work with PnP only laptops
PnP RAM is very limited, XMP offers better ram with better timings and features
Lenovo Legion lineup supports 6000MHZ ram
P.S
If anyone wants add or discussed any issue or annoyance, feel free to do it
But only about wide spread issues
Not isolated cases

Hi,
Please do not create duplicate threads and stick to the ones that are already running concurrently.
DRAM: Are you able to show where Lenovo state official support for modules @ 6000MT and above?
As this is overclocking it's classified as XMP by Kingston. The Legion Pro 7i 16 ships with 5600MT and doesn't have an upgrade path on the build site for any faster, so you'd need to clarify what you mean, as nobody can make assurances for overclocking.
I'd suggest asking this question to service in ROG Care.
