You should upgrade your bios to version 300 and bios utility software. You can download this tuff from the Asus Drivers page.
You can also go through the drivers list and pick out any of the drivers that are relatively new release dates and probably best to install those also.
As for the ASUS software. I uninstalled just about all of it except for the Gaming Center, WINFLASH, USB Charger plus and Splendid utility. The rest is just junk.
Do a search on these forums for GL502vs and go ahead and read up on some of the threads that already exist and a lot of your questions will be answered like they were for me. I think the new Bios 300 helped with temps overall.
