Love it but it has many annoying little issues (fully updated with Win Update and MyASUS official app, BIOS 311):
[COMMON] Speaker sounds randomly muted 'till I reboot with no error in Device Manager, no icons with X and no crashes, but speakers simply do not play audio anymore (headphones still work). Only solution a reboot. Totally random in normal desktop usage.
[COMMON] Sometimes randomly after 2 days of sleep and resume, USB-C DisplaPort won't detect anymore the attached (but turned off) monitor when I turn it on. Have to reinsert DisplayPort cable (8K high quality). To be exact it happens after Windows Hibernation. (SOLVED with BIOS 315 ✔️)
[MY UNIT] Loud coil whine with the test from GPU_Caps_Viewer: 3D Demos/Vulkan 2 Tessellation. Tested in real games or other 3D Demos and coil whine is minimal and acceptable though...
[COMMON] Random internal screen (desktop usage) fast-flickerings (0.1sec, very fast almost unnoticeable, mostrly in the upper portion of the screen)... looks like AMD iGPU unstable frequency (?). This seems a well known AMD iGPU issue reported in many forums with previous AMD CPU models. Waiting for AMD Adrenalin driver/BIOS updates hoping for a fix... 🤞🏻
[COMMON] No S3 Standby state in the BIOS!! Forced S0 only (a sort of MS hybrid standby 2.0) with fans quietly active (???). You can check it with powercfg /a
from admin Cmd prompt. Microsoft calls it "Modern Standby", which is good only for office workstations, maybe. We need S3 (classic Standby) instead.
[COMMON] Standby set as: after 10 min screen off and after 45 min standby; when I return to the laptop after 1-2 hours I find the keyboard leds on and system freezed including stuck white mouse pointer over a black screen (!?). I've found a workaround from admin prompt simply forcing hibernate after 30 min and setting screen off and standby both after 10 min. It didn't happen anymore.
Power settings commands (admin):powercfg /x hibernate-timeout-ac 0
(default 0, AC is for PSU mode) powercfg /x hibernate-timeout-dc 60
(default 60 min = 3600 sec, DC is for battery mode) powercfg HIBERNATE ON
(force-enable Hibernation if not present)powercfg /q
(to show current idle settings)✍🏻 IMPORTANT: to report issues with Armoury Crate to ASUS support, follow this post (create the log and fill out the form!): https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/armoury-crate/armoury-crate-v5-7-6-0-amp-v5-7-9-0-aura-creator-v3-7-6-...

Uninstalled Armory Core and been doing the same stuff as always for 2 days - no reboots since. Previously I had only 1-2 reboots while browsing, but had multiple of them during gaming sessions. Will continue to test, but if no reboots in 1 week, will consider it a huge success )

Ok so past 4 hours have done nothing but watch videos, no GPU use and no reboots...
Has anyone else tried removing armoury crate and making sure power option to default? It is the only thing I have changed since.

With Armoury Crate uninstalled, do you still see fast-flickers on AMD 610 graphics?

Now that you mention I haven't noticed constant flickering anymore. I might get one every so often now and then.
Has anyone with reboot issue noticed that no reboots occur while on battery or is it just me? Every reboot I had was always while on charge.

Hi, I just wanted to ask if I there is a special setting for the QHD 240Hz display colors? It seems like there is "color banding" going on. Especially in dark pictures. I have tried the different color profiles in AC but they do not really change this behaviour.
Any Ideas? Here is an example from Wikipedia
SOLVED: Fresh install of Windows 11 solved the problem
UPDATE: After installing Armoury Crate, the Color banding is back again 😞

Some good news on my side, so hope this can help...
As exposed in OriginalNuttah0 previous post, I tried also to uninstall Armoury Crate.
Immediate result: NO MORE Flickerings!!
But now, how using this laptop without Armoury Crate? Keyboard lights cannot be changed, no access to useful CPU/GPU infos... I tried to install the old ROG Aura Core, no way doesn't work.
Then, had another idea
As Armoury Crate is now the root cause, I remembered this little option available in BIOS settings: "Armoury Crate Interface support"
Enabled by default in BIOS
My guess: Armoury Crate able to cause a sudden laptop reboot? Then it has access to some very low level setting in BIOS or hardware, like voltages or things like that, sets them incorrectly for this hardware, and causes side effects like reboot or flickering
So:
And hopefully, this worked 😀
No Flickerings, event viewer much cleaner now, Armoury Crate works fine (Power plans apart, unusable anyway).
I use Modern Standby and Windows "normal" power plan
I don't know for reboots on 4080, never had on 4060... maybe this might help also?

As a replacement, you may use my personal project for G733PY/PZ series laptops. I'm rocking it daily as a complete Armoury Crate replacement without issues. Power plans are also functional, including custom modes. Keep in mind it's still beta: Gallardo994/LaptopToolBox: Laptop ToolBox is an application to control your laptop without Vendor ap...
It requires Armoury Crate completely removed. Other Asus services can be killed via Settings page and they won't bother you again. Definitely won't cause any screen flickering, all the source code is available and buildable for yourself in case you want it. May work with your specific laptop too, and in case it doesn't, just let me know and I'll try to fix it. Windows 11+ though.

Thanks @Gallardo994 for this info, this project looks very interesting and promising
I'll give a try soon, do you have a particular thread on this forum to exchange on that project?
Unbelievable that ASUS is not able to provide clean ASUS software to run high-end ASUS laptops, at such a point that alternative solutions are developped 😞
Hope ASUS representatives browse this thread too

I don't think it's good idea to make a separate thread on this forum yet as the app is generally beta and tested just on 2 laptop models. Also, RGB controls are kind of early-stage right now. You can always post issues and report bugs on the github though. Thanks for trying it out!

Just a question: I've checked Laptop toolbox on github, do you have somewhere an already available build for this app?
