Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a used ROG Strix G15 G513 (G513IE)in excellent condition, which has an NCP004D panel. However, I am experiencing a very annoying ghosting/inverse ghosting/overshoot issue on the screen. I have installed all the necessary drivers, but the RefreshRate service refuses to start and gives me the following error
[The service cannot be started. System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: name
at Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey.ValidateKeyName(String name)
at Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey.OpenSubKey(String name, Boolean writable)
at Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey.OpenSubKey(String name)
at MonitorRefreshRateService.MonitorRefreshRateService.GetRefreshRate()
at MonitorRefreshRateService.MonitorRefreshRateService.OnStart(String[] args)
at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase.ServiceQueuedMainCallback(Object state)].
I tried disabling overdrive using the G-Helper software, but it made no noticeable difference – the issue persists.
This ghosting effect is really frustrating. Has anyone encountered this issue before or knows of a possible solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
