[ISSUE] Sound playing through both headphones and speakers

Hi, I noticed when i plug in my headphones into my computer, the headphones work but the speakers do not deactivate. I unplug the headphones and plug them back in, that deactivates the speakers temporarily but after a couple minutes the speakers activate on their own so I have to do it again. so I updated the drivers through support.asus.com that did not fix the issue. i muted the speakers and it mutes the headphones too so, i mute the headphones too and unmute them and the headphones work for a couple minutes and then stop working and i have to do it again. when i unmute the speakers, it all works, but it ALL works, the speakers and the headphones. so I have no real workaround except that i unplug and re-plug the headphones.

I'm about to start school within a week and I definitely will not have time to troubleshoot these sorts of problems. Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try the most recent drivers from the realtek site.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

1) What model ASUS laptop do you own, @Murtag?

2) What version audio driver is it currently running?

I'm using a G75V, and I had hoped that the VIA audio driver version 6.0.01.60100 from the asus support site would fix this, although it hasn't.

@c_man claims that issue is resolved with his settings in http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?20589-Via-Audio-Driver-v6.0.01.10800a&p=145905&viewfull=1#p.... There is also a new VIA driver release, version 6.0.01.10800a. You may as well give it a shot...

I recommend you reply to that thread and abandon this one.

Thank you, I'll give that a shot and see if this works.

I have not seen once the problem with 10600a or 10800a and I use headphones daily. BUT, I did a clean install with 10600a. I don't know if updating those old buggy drivers is the reason why you still have this.

I downloaded 10800a and it still has not fixed the issue.

@Murtag and @Ayman - you need to find out what @c_man is doing right to resolve your audio issues.
