good day,
i would like to ask, i have the latest asus g835lx laptop and i noticed that in turbo mode even in the most demanding games 50% of the cores are parked and the other 50% are working, that's why i experience micro stutters. if someone can explain it to me i would be grateful.Zrzut ekranu 2025-05-17 203939.jpg

Hello,

The CPU has 2 types of cores, Performance Cores (P-cores) and Efficient Cores (E-cores). The E-cores are never used for gaming, they are an attempt by Intel to try and improve multicore performance for certain applications and run some very light background tasks.

Benchmarks which test multicore performance will load the E-cores but this is a false sense of performance and a pointless test for gaming performance, take 3Dmark Timespy as an example, the last test uses the E-cores to calculate the final CPU / Score. Anyway, that's the reason why the E-cores are parked.

Stuttering is likely something else, how hot does the CPU run during gaming?

Hi,

Thank you very much for the explanation and answer. The cause of the micro stutters were the latest NVIDIA drivers, after installing those from the My ASUS application, everything is ok 🙂

if a game hits 85-90-100 watts on the cpu all the time than battery is also gonna drain plugged in if u use maxed out fans and pl1 and pl2 manual mode
