How to Open Back cover on ASUS GL702VS laptop ?

I am in the process of upgrading the m.2 SSD and I wanted to know if I have to pull off the entire back cover or is there a small compartment that I can use to do my upgrade? It almost looks like there is a small flap that I can lift up. Thank you.

Note: I don't want to void my warranty either. I also have the GL702VS laptop.

The back of my laptop DOES NOT come apart no matter what I do. I've tried everything. 😕

Is it maybe because I have the AH73 version?

after you remove all the screws use 2 credit cards to pry the cover off , along the seams on the sides , look at this video around 1:20 min mark

My problem is I can't even get a credit card in there the sides are so close together. I tried following that video with no luck.

What tool is that guy using?

don't even need a card, Pull the back cover gently where the monitor hinges are, gives you a good grip. Once you get 1 clip off, the rest cracks open like an egg

its called pry tool never use metal tools

I am starting to think I have a defective laptop.

Pry tool......... did not work.......
Credit card....... did not work......
Trying to pry it from the hinges....... did not work.....

Going to take it to Best Buy and see if they can get it off. I seriously think mine was installed so tight that I can't get it off.


Note: Nothing from all of the videos worked and I have all of these wonderful scratches to prove it. 😕

Can't even get any of the tools in the cracks.
