How does 256 GB SSD + 1TB 7200 RPM work?

I own a GL502VS-DS71 laptop and it came with a 256GB SSD and 1TB 7200RPM HDD. Both are internal HDD.*

NOW...the problem is that everything I load into the computer and downloads from "USERS" folder goes straight first into the 256GB SSD. Now it is full.

*I was wondering is there a way to maybe merge the hard drives, or make this work better somehow so when loading in games and such, it wont tell me that my hard drive is full when the 1TB has nothing in it. Please help and thank you!

No there is a M.2 SSD either SATAIII or PCIE 3x4 not sure what you may have + a 2.5" Hard drive.
You may want to move your Documents, Video, Music, Photo and Download libraries to the HDD (d:) like I did. Follow this guide http://www.pcworld.com/article/3025345/windows/move-your-windows-10-libraries-to-a-separate-drive-or...
I would also disable Prefetch and Superfetch http://www.thewindowsclub.com/disable-superfetch-prefetch-ssd since with a SSD you don't really need them. However if you plan to install programs to your HDD than it is probably best to keep them enabled. I also disabled Pagefile since I don't think you really need it with 16 Gig of RAM or more and if you do run into issues with low memory than you can always re-enable it.
