Help! Not sure what cable to buy for Display Port and G531GU

Hello, I just bought an external monitor that is G-sync compatible, but G-Sync only work through the Display Port cable.

My laptop is (Asus ROG Strix G531GU-AL299)

Now, my laptop doesn't have thunderbolt, i will attach the photo with the usb port that according to Asus website it is: USB3.1 Gen2 Type-C + .



Now, is this cable compatible with my laptop in order to work with the new monitor Display Port ?

That cable appears to be correct but I would still buy it from a seller that accepts returns. Not all cables are high quality and you should be able to return it if it does not work.
