Help Me Choose Between GL503VD-DB74 and GL502VM-DS74

My trusted and loved G74 finally died on me so its time to make a new purchase. I love that I got 8 years from that laptop and that it was still fast by normal standards the day it died.

So have been looking at GL503VD-DB74 as well as the GL502VM-DS74. NewEgg has a sale on the 502 right now and it looks like a nice deal. I'm guessing that I will not be disappointed and it will feel at least as quick as the G74 I had and I'll guess faster.

Thoughts and or suggestions of other models to look at with a budget of no more then $1600.

Thanks!

Part one:
What use do you mean to do?
Second part:
Of the gl502vmk on this forum it has been spoken a lot.
Part Three:
Does your country have a warm or cool temperature?
the fourth part:
The gl502vmk under stress does not hold as it has only 2 heatpipe (the third is just a piece of copper that can not be considered a heatpipe)
fifth part:
know what heatpipe is so you will understand what they are and you can make a laptop rating that you go to buy.
sixth part:
inform the components of the motherboard.
Ex: It is advisable to have ram board distant from the cpu as it is the hottest component of the pc and thus having a ram near it would be a bad condition in case of stress
seventh part:
Did you think it was easy to buy a laptop gaming?!? !!? JOKE.
eighth part:
the new generation of eighth generation cpu will soon arrive, so I would recommend just waiting for the output as the laptop could pay you 9% less.
ninth part:
I recommend you asus just because choosing components is the most prudent.
tenth part:
I no longer know what to say.
doubts?

Um.....

Ok....

Yup, from Chicago and I can't imagine that the 502 will run any hotter then the G74. Middle of winter I could go without heat in the house if I had this thing on my lap.

I do zero gaming, a bit of video editing and rendering, I just like a robust computer. Example being the G74 lasting 8 years and still being able to run photoshop, premier pro, after effects and as many chrome tabs as I want till the day it died.

I ended up with the GL502vmk, ordered new RAM to max it out, a 250 gb Samsung 960 Evo m2 ssd, and a 2 tb seagate FireCuda.

Got everything upgraded to the newest Win 10 Insiders Preview, newest bio and drivers, etc.

All of this should set me up for hopefully at least another 8ish years of good use.

Now if I could just find someone who did skins for this thing or could do a custom job, would like to have it skinned.
