GL703GS Samsung PM961 m.2 BSOD

Hi all.
Just a little advice if anyone is having BSOD issue with Samsung PM961 m.2 drive.
I was having BSOD caused by failure to create dump files since new. Factory reset twice and flattened installing a fresh copy of windows all to no avail. When the seller told me it would be 7 days for them to sort it and me being £1500 in the hole and impatient, I thought I'd have a go at fixing it myself.
Long story short, if you are having this issue, install Samsung nvme driver and manually update by selecting from list through device manager. You'll know it's worked because the name for the drive will change.
I hope this saves someone the frustration I had.

So it’s okay after installing samsung’s driver?

Yes, mine has been fine since. I tested by uninstalling the drivers and sure enough, BSOD's happened again. Reinstalled driver and all is fine.
Just remember that after installing driver, you must go into device manager and manually update the drives driver as it will not do it automatically.

What driver version did you install exactly? Because with the one above (v3.0.0.1802) I still have random total freezes and C: stuck at 100%
My drive Samsung MZVLW512HMJP-00000 specs:

EDIT: seems I've found a solution to this annoying random issue! Read https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?104894-Anyone-have-a-stable-GL703GS-DS74&p=752012#post7517...
