GL702VM Performance issues?

Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a ROG GL702VM and like it however the performance is lacking from what I have heard it should be doing. There are so many reviews stating this PC can perform incredibly.

That review states that the Witcher 3 can run around 63 fps on ultra and Fallout 4 does 65 fps. However I can barely get 60 in Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, an inconsistent 60 in Skyrim Special Edition and when playing Hitman Absolution I have had it dip down into the 40s. All of these are on Ultra settings. Obviously these are not the same games, but seeing as how its this inconsistent with Games that aren't as demanding as something like The Witcher 3 I am a bit concerned. Is there something wrong on my end?

I'm just moving into my new GL702VM-DB71 and I've noticed a lag growing... still using the 1TB HDD it came stock with as the system drive. Win10 updated, all software updates, bios updated to 303, Adobe Creative Suite software.... read/write time increasing. I havent run numbers on games yet...Posters with advice on optimizing would be greatly appreciated.

I am not satisfied with my GL702VM DB71's performance either after what I was expecting because of the reviews. I hope they find a solution or an explanation soon.
