GL702VM-DB74 Output Color Depth 6bpc, is that correct?

I just got this laptop and am satisfied with this display image quality. But checking Nvidia control panel, under 'Change Resolution' it shows Output Color Depth as 6bpc. Is that correct? In other machines, be it desktop or laptop, I've never seen it less than 8bpc. Laptop is a ASUS ROG Strix GL702VM-DB74.

I have the same model and have noticed this too. Although I really can't say anything bad about the image quality and colors.

I agree. I know the colors isn't 100% correct but I actually quite enjoy this image over the other laptops I tried before settling on this one. The other models was the relatively new Lenovo Y520 and the Alienware R3 15 (before the kaby lake refresh). This display, despite seemingly only 6bit (as no one seems to be contesting it) is much more pleasing to look at.

I'm mainly asking because I just did a clean install of Win10. I have the latest Geforce driver installed but when I saw 6bit was the only option, I wasn't sure if there was something I had to install from Asus's software suite to correct it. I'd like to avoid all that bloatware if possible.
