GL702VM-db71...black screen on startup

From cold boot or waking from hibernation, my GL702VM is black screening... power button, keyboard, and power led lights up and stays lit... but black screen. No splash screen, nothing. HDD led shows no activity. Pressing the power button powers everything off immediately. Pressing the power button again, and it boots up normally... spalsh screen to windows, all lights normal.

Anyone else seeing this?

It happens that when I have the adapter attached the computer automatically goes into stanby, as if I closed the screen. Even if you set "do nothing" when closing the lid, the screen and keyboard turn off the same. This happens as soon as I plug in the power jack.
It works properly only on battery.
It seems that by inserting the power supply, the computer perceived the lid closed.
If the computer is turned off, it will not turn on with the adapter attached.
