Hello Appuru
Maybe it's a lose axis of one of the fans?
If you are not sure what to do, I would recommend sending it for RMA.
Thank you
Hi there, thanks for the reply.
Could you maybe give further information about that? Could I fix it by myself or would I have to use another fan for it to actually work?
I just opened the bottom to have a look at the fan. The fan itself made no noise whatsoever when blowing into it for example.
Also when I try testing it with NotebookFanControl for example, the sound appears more prominent when at ~25-50% speed while the fan sounds pretty normal when at 100%.
Even with the bottom open I couldn't find a reason for the fan to make such a sound (and it still appeared when moved a bit)...
I already messaged the ASUS support about it and they only said that it's probably a problem with the fan (which I already said myself).
Since I need a notebook for work (and university) it'd be a bummer to have to RMA it and not get it back for over 1-2 weeks...
I'm kind of sad that ASUS doesn't even try to offer a replacement of any kind for that time (tbh almost anything would do, wouldn't have to be the same notebook or so)
😕
