Don't know. My laptop haven't arrived yet. I'm just practicing and finding a good template. I will do some testing first before drilling it.
About the warranty. Im from the Philippines. I bought it from Amazon since it is really cheap but the shipping fee is expensive. So I have it mail to my relative's (in the US) since they will come and visit next month. We have Asus Service center here but I doubt the warranty still valid since it is from the US.

The manufacturers warranty should still apply. I would shoot a message to their customer support. It never hurts to ask. 🙂

Alright. I'm all in on team Opolar. lol
My Opolar just arrived today and here are my results after a quick Aida64 test. Had Aida stressing both the CPU and GPU for 10 minutes.
I have mine on a cooling pad, with the CPU undervolted, and set to a 99% power plan. Laptop fan speed set to auto in both tests. Also laptop is closed because I use an external monitor when I'm at home, and the Opolar is mounted on the right side (in relation to the laptop facing you as normal).
Without Opolar:
Fans ramped up to 4300 RPM.
With Opolar:
Fan ramped up to 3100 RPM.
Conclusion:
I'm sold.
8c cooler on the CPU.
6c cooler on the GPU.
Fans running at 1200RPM lower.
Definitely ordering a second one next payday. XD

Good morning all, I just thought I would post a link to a BIOS update for the GL702VM. This update is specifically for the thermals related to the CPU. I'm going to install this and hopefully I will see a noticeable improvement. Maybe ASUS has paid attention to this thread.

Note: The update was released on 5/24/2017, so it's very recent.

My Laptop reports as a GL702VMK within ROG Gaming Center. The update you reference seems to be available only for the GL702VM model.
I'd like to know the difference between the two models. I wonder if the K is for the Kaby Lake refresh, which I have. Maybe that thermal update is for last year's Skylake model. Anybody from ASUS able to shed some light on this?
Here's some of my system information - you can get this by running a command shell and typing SYSTEMINFO. Maybe someone with the Skylake model could run systeminfo and let me know if theirs is a VM or a VMK.

Carefull with the ID´s guys. You are posting your Serials....
At first glance I guess this new BIOS improved how the system deals with Turbo Boost. So at first glance the Throttling is now controlled. But the temperatures keep for gaming at ULTRA in BF1 keep lingering between 87-90. with cooling pad, MSI profile 3, XTU -0.150mV and Fan Controlling at MAX.
