Last Friday i purchased a brand new GL702VI.
Unfortunatly, I was very disappointed when i turned it on.
I discovered that it has a backlite bleed from the left down corner of the display. This bleed maybe not noticeable on a bright and colorful pictures, but on a darker scenery it is clearly visible. I attach a photo of a completely black screen. I am not confusing it with IPS glow, which is clearly seen on a picture on both upper corners and lower right corner. I'm talking about a distortion seen along the lower bezel near left corner. For a comparison, i add a picture of my G750J display, which is flawless, except the IPS glow.
Now the problem is, that the store doesn't accept it back for a refund. According to their policy the laptop has been opened and turned on, and therefore it cannot be returned. This is how it works here in Israel. They told me to talk to Asus service. However, i dont want to deal with repair of a brand new laptop which has an out of the box issue. What to expect from Asus in this case?
