[GL553-VD] [BIOS: 305] Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 4GB Boost to 1671Mhz

Hi,

I am posting regarding the boost speed of Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050.

I just found a weird boost speed for this notebook that It is able to hit 1671Mhz without any overclocking.

What I did is using ffmpeg encoding some videos with h264_nvenc.
Both GPU-Z and HWMonitor show 1671Mhz.

Base on Nvidia specification, the GTX1050 should have a maximum turbo boost of 1455Mhz.

Did Asus factory overclock for GTX 1050?

Running BIOS version 305.

Thank You

Go to Device Manager.
Click "Firmware"
Right-Click "System Firmware"
Click "Update Driver"
Click "Search Automatically for updated drivers software"
Restart the laptop and it should automatically enter into UEFI for UEFI firmware update.

If it is updated correctly, the "Driver version" should be "10.1.2.305".

Mine (same gtx 1050 in gl553vd) boosts up to 1695.5 Mhz (аnd sometimes 1708.5 Mhz) in Dark Souls 3/RE7. Cannot say definitely if it's overclocking.

It's gpu boost 3
the gpu will boost as long as it's Good cooled

"G" for "Good cooling" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
