GL552VW - Can't control gpu fan speed with MSI Afterburner?

I downloaded MSI afterburner, which I use on my desktop to control fan speed and show statistics while playing. When I tried using it on my GL552VW, the fan speed setting is not available. Also when showing GPU temps, it only shows them when I'm playing, when I want to check my idle temps, it says it's 0, I don't think that's my idle temp. Is there something on the settings to make fan sped and idle temp available?

not possible at all.. the GTX960M and CPU share a heatsink and fan, the nvidia driver doesn't know what the fan speed is. That is controlled by the BIOS.

With any Nvidia Optimus system with dual GPU the Nvidia GPU basically goes to sleep on the desktop when your not running 3d games/software, so you get 0% usage and the gpu stops reporting stats.
