GL552 sound driver problem, hissing sound/electric buzz

Hy. I'm new to the forum and the hole rog experience.
Just bought a GL552Jx that runs smooth except for the sound. After instaling the Conexant Audio driver, from asus support site, also available on delivered Cd, the laptop's speakers make a hissing sound/electric buzz.
I've read the posts describing something similar with Asus G751. Anyone could tell if the solution provided for G751 users works for mine?
I have a bitter taste after this whole weekend when i intended to give it back. Thanks to this forum i've realised that it is a driver problem.
Any thoughts?

Nope, ASUS doesn't care enough about it to release a fix for the driver. You're out of luck, just like me. Use a bluetooth headset or an external soundcard.

I just did a format and clean install of windows 10 on a gl552 with the hissing and popping problem and let windows install everything and the sound issues are gone. It installed the audio drivers through windows update on its own so maybe give that a try.

Guys, download the new driver from windows 10's driver. I'm using windows 8.1. Just install it,it still worked for me. The volume balance is fixed . Good luck guys 😄

I have found the solution. This only applies to WIndows 8.1 64 bit users.

First, uninstall your Conexant Smart Audio driver and Icepower audio wizard software.
Next, install the latest version of Conexant Smart Audio driver proposed by vacs. (http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/...4_VER86630.zip)
Finally, search for the ICEpower audio wizard installer from the asus support site. Remember to choose Windows 10 64bit and download the latest version: V1.0.0.120.

I have same issue. Currently i let my laptop on for a service.. Waiting for my g751 parts to arrive as of the moment.

I have solved my issue by disabling all audio enhancements.
