:Cooling Pad or unflat position leads to significant FPS drops and/or stuttering
:What is GRUB? And what's it for? And how to GRUB?
:I can't install basic touchpad drivers after windows fresh install!
:I just bought my laptop 2 weeks ago, and i playing every games the gpu/cpu temp around 85-90°. Is that normal for this laptop?

I did a little bit of research and i decided to undevolt my GPU with MSI Afterburner by adjusting the Voltage/Frequency Curve. I was able to undervolt my GTX 1060 to 0,900 by leveling the "dots" up to 1924MHz. This gave me a little overclocking effect as well and eliminated power and voltage limitations my GPU was suffering from.
Long story short, my GPU temps stays around 70 degrees and because the cooling system of the GL504GM has shared heatpipes, this decrease of GPU temps also affects the CPU, which stays now at 77 degrees avg. I think thats very usefull as the GL504GM is not very undervolting friendly when it comes to the CPU.
Thats a good solution to deal with this ****ty fan settings and the high temps til ASUS finally delivers a software update.
This is the video i used:

I tweaked my GL504GM Hero 2 a bit more during the days and i ended up with the GPU undervolted with -88 and temps around 76 degrees and the CPU undervolted with -82 and temps around 83 degrees. I activated Speed Shift EPP in Throttlestop and set the value to 32, so the CPU stays at the 3,9GHz clock.
But i still got FPS around 65 in games like BF V. Without any throttling shown in HWinfo. So i did a bit of research and found out that the difference in FPS between single and dual Channel RAM in games with a high CPU demand like BF V, is huge, up to 30fps more. I have a single channel RAM and i am thinking about to do an upgrade to dual channel. So instead of 1x8gb i will buy another 8gb RAM. Did one of you guys experience the same, FPS boost in games with a high demand on the CPU?
Thats the video i found, there are plenty of others as well.

Yes, that's why i switched for 2*8Gb modules. SK Hynix from stock setup is crap.

Did this give you any improvements due to FPS?
I was thinking to buy just another 8gb of RAM and add it to the current one. From your answer i assume you switched them entirely? Cant i use the SK Hynix and add idk a kingston hyperX?
Which one did you build in?

Yes, it did; - depends on title.
HyperX, propably on Micron chips, which are pretty nice.
I'm on G.Skill RipJaws that are on Samsung.

Ah ok. So you would recommand to have 2 Ram sticks of the same company?
How is your system (you have a Hero 2 right?) running right now in general? Heat Management, fps etc?
