[GL504GM] Unrealistic Battery drop

Hi again everyone.

After fixing the random sound disappearing problem I got an issue even more stressful: the battery more or less at 54% just drops dead.

If I try to boot the laptop at 54%, only after login in, the battery icon shows "54% (30 minutes remaining)". Then I put the mouse over again and shows "54% (10 minutes remaining), I reboot and at the login screen it dies. Sometimes even without rebooting, it just dies without any low battery warning.

If I use my laptop to watch movies from 100% it works perfectly fine: it show the warning at 20% and lasts another half an hour at least. If I use it until 60% and then turn it off and turn it on again after days, this issue happens.

Few bootup programs enable (mainly steam and nvidia experience), issue appearing in charging mode "Balanced mode" and "Full capacity mode".

Also, I cannot use my laptop if I plug it in right after it died. It seems like it has to wait for the battery to charge a little before being able to boot it. That is absurd, every other laptop I owned it would have used directly the power coming from the charger, instead of waiting for the battery to have a small amount of charging.

Anyone else has this issue?

It is incredible that my laptop has all this issues after 3 months of life. I contacted Asus service, if they are not going to fix it I think I will have to change manufacturer. For me it is sad, because I LOVED the N551JM and now I'm stuck with this black brick of misery.

I cannot upload html files with the forum interface, so i had to change the extension in .pdf: change them back into html or tell me if I have to upload them somewhere else.

PS: oddly enough, after I have deleted some cookies with CCleaner, I was able to boot the pc from 25% battery status: never happened before and the usage of CCleaner regarding the battery issue was completely unintentional.

Happened again, dead at 17:27; here is the newest report in jpg. You can still find the old one in pdf, to be changed in html.

You've lost half your battery capacity. You're at 27whr now, down from 66.

half your battery cells won't hold a charge.

But last time it charged back to 59,600. Do you mean that I have to stick to the first part of the battery report where is written 29000?
That would explain why around 60% if I boot it up it dies instantly, but if I use it constantly during the day I can use it for Netflix for at least 3 hours.

Can I lift the lid without loosing the warranty? Because if I find the bulge and they did not find it during the last inspection I will be really frustrated. And won't buy Asus products anymore, not even a mouse pad.

I need to check all the battery Power reporte.
I think for continuous 7 days ..
I will give commands to get report's. If you have warranty in Laptop, go to service center , they will replace new battery..
But the Original battery warranty should replace within six months.

typical asus, buggy hardware and bad batteries.

If your batteries are dying suddenly, it's because one or more of the cells in the battery pack are dead.

https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?103360-GL502VM-owners-OPEN-YOUR-LAPTOP-Bulging-battery

If you open up the laptop and look at the battery, you may find that it is bulging, and that means half your battery is dead and doesn't carry a charge.

I have a GL502vm, and 2 of the 4 cells are gone, battery is bulging, and I only have 50% battery capacity.

Asus never fixes things, rarely keeps up with software updates, so my next laptop won't be an asus.
