Gl503vm bios question.

The sticker on the my laptop and it's accompanying papers say it's a gl503vm.
I updated the BIOS with winflash. It now says it's a Gl503vmf. I assume I accidentally picked the wrong thing on the updates page. Unfortunately, I never checked what the old BIOS reported the model number as before I flashed the new one.

Ok, the computer seems to work just fine. Having the occasional trouble with the Realtek driver, but that's all. Attempts to flash the proper BIOS fail with a message saying it's the wrong BIOS for this computer.

My questions are:

What is the difference between a 503vm, and a 503vmf?

Should I even care if I flashed a wrong BIOS if it's so similar that everything still works?

Is it possible I actually do have a gl503vmf, despite the stickers saying otherwise? What's weird to me is that it let me put this BIOS on, but now baulks at attempting the proper one.

I have the exact same problem, Ive contacted ASUS support, their first response was "take it to bestbuy and have geeksquad look at it", second response was to perform a flashback, which will still give me the incorrect model but older bios.... the vmf model is for the gtx 1050 version the vm is the 1060 version, really frustrating when they give you vague answers for a very specific request...

Feels like we've been sold on refurb vmf mobo fitted with vm parts, another thing is both 307vmf bios and 311vm bios have the same exact build date but different release dates...hmmm
