Apparently the GL502VMK does have a Type C Thunderbolt 3 port and it is likely it is the 20 Gbps low power version. To check for sure install the Thunderbolt software http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/DriversForWin10/ThunderBolt/ThunderBolt_Intel_Win10_64_VER162522... and run it and from taskbar icon right click on the TB icon and select settings and Details and if there is info under Thunderbolt Controller than you have a TB 3 port. I can't recall what HWID is the 40 Gbps version but the 20 Gbps version will show under Thunderbolt Generation: Thunderbolt 3 (15BF) that section in brackets is the HWID for the controller version.

Cool thank you sir. 🙂 I remember seeing a bunch of this info in one of the threads I looked at, but I couldn't make heads or tails of it. That is a much clearer lead to go on. I'll install that software, and report my findings.
