Had the same issue. Go to device manager and right click on keyboard, press "update driver". Choose search drivers on this pc and then press choose from already installed drivers. There must be HID Keyboard Device, choose it instead of ASUS NUMPAD

This fix worked for me!! Thank you.

I have the same problem, but it doesn't work for me, I tried everything, I don't know what to do

I found this thread back then and fixed my issue with this very helpful information. Also had to do this fix with the 1909. Yesterday 2004 got installed by itself and again the same problem, numpad was installed, but when I tried to change it but it did not work. I reverted the 2004 update and I am back to normal. But fear this new update 20H2 will be a nightmare again. Why can't this issue be fixed?

This is what fixed it for my GL702VS that had all keys not working in Windows/BIOS apart from power button. The fix is for many different GL series laptops.

My keyboard is now working 100%.

ASUS NUMBER PAD is the original drivers and the id hardware is HID_Device_System_Keyboard

I used Iobit Advanced SystemCare which fixed the keyboard issue for my GL502VM: https://www.iobit.com/nl/advancedsystemcarefree.php

SOLVED WITH THESE STEPS

For me i fixed the problem by re-installing the ATK driver, i have find this driver on the official web site (here for the GL702VM and GL702VMK : https://www.asus.com/ca-fr/Laptops/ROG-GL702VM/HelpDesk_Download/ )
Now it's work with all the features.

This really should be a Sticky, I've been looking for a solution to this issue for months. I've talked to Asus several times and they are not even aware of this solution, they always just say to rollback to the previous version of windows.

Brilliant! Great Stuff!
