GL502VM Fan speed reading problem and Windows 10 FCU 1709

After the last update of Windows 10 - Fall Creators Update 1709 - has been installed monitoring programs, such as HWMonitor, no longer display the CPU fan rotation reading. My notebook is an Asus ROG GL502VM (Skylake).

I did a "Google", but I couldn't find anything on the internet about it.

To confirm I used WinToUSB to run an earlier version of Windows 10 - CU 1703 - on a USB flash drive: as expected, HWMonitor display the fan reading normally.

Anyone in the same situation?

windows update 1709 is a utter mess at the moment.. currently it keeps trying to reinstall itself to no avail on my system. I got it last week and installed it only to find that it made my computer lag to the point of it being unusable when trying to open the simplest programs such as task manager or explorer so to be honest i think your pretty much "safe" with update 1703

1709 refused to install on my GL702ZC laptop as well on the pre-installed Windows (also, games refused to produce saves along with some software).
It worked though when I did a clean Windows 10 install... 1709 installed itself without issues and didn't cause any slowdowns.
